Some collections feel extra personal, and this one does. I’m so excited to share a new series that’s been on my heart for months: a floral lighthouse collection featuring all seven major lighthouses along the North Carolina coast.

Wrightsville Beach

Growing up, we spent summers visiting family in Wilmington and Leland. Both of my parents were in education, so we had summers together. We’d pack up and head to North Carolina to visit family for two weeks at a time. My sister and I loved the beach, and we spent many days at Oak Island or Wrightsville Beach. The NC coast will always feel like home to me—and I still go back a few times each year. (Pictured above: Wrightsville Beach // Caedon living it up at Fort Fischer State Park)

What’s in the Collection
The "Lighthouses of North Carolina" collection launches on June 24, 2025. Each lighthouse was painted by hand using watercolor and acrylic ink, in my signature floral style. I’ve always loved using florals—plants and flowers just feel peaceful and natural to me, and they find their way into nearly everything I create.

You’ll find:

  • Individual lighthouse prints and notecard sets

  • A composite print that includes all seven lighthouses

  • A boxed notecard set featuring all seven as a collection

And for the first time ever, I’m offering the 7-lighthouse composite on high-end 1.5” stretched canvas in two large sizes: 16” x 20” and 18” x 24”. This piece is especially exciting because I typically don’t paint large-scale work—so this format feels like a fresh and special way to showcase something deeply meaningful.

The Seven North Carolina Lighthouses Featured in This Collection:

  • Currituck Beach LighthouseCorolla, NC
Known for its distinctive red-brick exterior and its location among the maritime forests of the northern Outer Banks.

  • Bodie Island LighthouseNags Head, NC
Famous for its striking black-and-white horizontal stripes and scenic views of marshes and soundside landscapes.

  • Cape Hatteras LighthouseBuxton, NC
Perhaps the most iconic, with its black-and-white candy cane stripes. It's also the tallest brick lighthouse in the U.S.

  • Ocracoke LighthouseOcracoke Island, NC
The oldest operating lighthouse in North Carolina, known for its simple white structure and charm.

  • Cape Lookout LighthouseCape Lookout National Seashore, NC
Recognizable by its black-and-white diamond pattern and remote setting only accessible by boat.

  • Oak Island LighthouseCaswell Beach, NC
A more modern-style lighthouse with a unique concrete construction and stunning oceanfront views.

  • Old Baldy LighthouseBald Head Island, NC
The oldest standing lighthouse in North Carolina, beloved for its weathered, historical character and rich maritime history.

The Process & My Favorite Piece
I started this collection in February, and it quickly became one of the most rewarding projects I’ve worked on. It was both a creative challenge and a joy—balancing historical accuracy with the abstraction of florals. One lighthouse stood out in particular: Cape Lookout. The bold black-and-white diamond pattern, the historical keeper’s quarters, and the surrounding trees made it such a fulfilling piece to paint. (I love adding trees—always have.)

And while working on this series, something clicked: I really love painting historical landmarks. There’s a kind of quiet reverence in bringing those stories to life with paint.

A Reminder of What Matters
Whether these lighthouses are part of your own story or simply speak to your love of the coast, my hope is that these pieces bring you a sense of warmth, fondness, and connection. Maybe they’ll remind you of a loved one, a trip, or just a peaceful moment by the sea.

I imagine these prints and canvases finding homes in beach houses, coastal-themed rooms, or with anyone longing for a little piece of the North Carolina coast nearby.

Thank you for letting me share this with you! The "Lighthouses of North Carolina" collection launches on June 24, 2025.
