What a month this has been – and if I’m being honest, it has had some high highs and low lows. But keep on reading friends because September was full of so many. things.

First BIG Thing: Our biggest, most thankful, and probably one of my favorite memories of this year is that we were named 2024 Small-Business Employer of the Year by ARC of Shelby Co (Did I cry? Yes, I did. A lot.). The Arc of Shelby County is an amazing non-profit that empowers folks with developmental disabilities and delays to achieve their goals. We love them, they are a joy to work with, and they do a lot of good in our community for folks that are often marginalized in our society. I believe that the ability to work, to earn an income, to contribute somehow to society is important and provides fulfillment for many people. Knowing that there are so many folks that aren’t able to easily find work for various reasons, I wanted to do and give what I could through this business to share the joy of work with them.

ARC Award and the Amanda Klein Co Team

And if ONE award wasn’t enough, there was another one! Gregor was named 2024 Supported Employee of the Year. Yayyyyyy Gregor! Gregor has been with us almost 2 years and deserves every bit of this award. Gregor has had 2 promotions, is a hard worker, dependable, is the only one on our team that literally knows where every. single. anything. is. 😂, and gives us amazing feedback and insights into things we aren’t seeing. We have a strong leadership team and we’re so thankful Gregor is a key part of it.

April looking amazing and being boss!

Second Big Thing: We were featured on the TV Show Simply Southern. The crew was a delight to work with, we had a blast with filming, and we were literally in tears when we watched the episode! Sometimes all of this just doesn’t feel real. You can watch the entire episode on youtube, here

Amanda Turned 40

Third BIG Thing: I turned 40!!! Can I be happy and sad about that? Haha. April brought me an amazing charcuterie tray (that is one of her many many many talents!) and my family took me out to dinner and got me an ice cream cake from Caedon’s favorite ice cream shop. Camping is one of my greatest joys, so to celebrate turning 40 we’re heading out to the Smokies late-October for some quality family time (Francie dog included, of course!) over hiking, campfires, games, and good food. I really do have so much to be thankful for.

Fourth BIG Thing: We launched our first ever Color-It-Yourself Greeting Card and Print Series, our 2024 Fall series (it’ll be muchhhhh bigger in 2025, y’all!), we’re getting ready to launch our Holiday series (see pic below!), AND we are pretty obsessed with our upcoming American Flag series!

And a few more big-ish business-y things….

  • We’re taking a few calculated risks and rolling out a few brand new product types in 2025. Samples will be arriving over the next few weeks and we’ll be sure to do lots of sneak peeks on instagram and facebook (so follow us there if you aren’t already!).
  • Speaking of social media, we hit 10k on Instagram! Whhhatttttt?!
  • And something else that I can’t stop thinking about is how I made the decision to change business directions heavily. The Amanda Klein Co. ship is changing course. I’ll talk more about these upcoming changes in the future, but for right now, I’m keeping them close to my heart. (But no worries, we’ll still be offering the same great products/service/all the things because we love you.)
  • But speaking of changes....we're on the cusp of something pretty darn big....but we had to sign a NDA so please don't hate us and we promise you'll probably freak out as much as we are. 🫶
